My New Love...

Love is in the air. February is a time for pinks and reds, and of course~Valentine's Day! It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting chocolates, greeting cards, flowers, or anything to show their affection. Although, Valentine's Day is on February 14, this form of expression can be honored any time of the year! :)

Normally, when we celebrate the 'V' day, we keep it low key. This year is nothing different...I think?? Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays because you get to see more products offered in pink. :) As much as I love pink, it is hard to believe I only have one bag in pink and it has been in a retired state for a very long time. :( So, what better time to get a new one and to take an advantage of the gift certificate at South Coast Plaza? A visit to the mall was in order!

MAC's Spring Collection 2010

Yesterday,  Nordstrom at Brea hosted a preview of MAC's Spring Colour Forecast for 2010.  The collection was massive!  There were four color groups.  Each group had lots of different products.  If you missed this event, no worries.  The collection will be launched on Feb 11, but you can get a start of checking out the collection at maccosmetics.com.

At the event, there were drinks and tray passed hors d'oeuvres served while you checked out the collection.    Each attendee received a collection brochure with a product list for you to mark off items you wished to purchased.  When I was done browsing and swatching all the colors, I found my list practically marked off with every item!

Spring Colour 1 Forecast -  Pink

I definitely liked most of the products from this group.  If you didn't know, I heart pink!  =) I can't wait to pair the lipglasses with the lipsticks.  All the colors looked really yummy!

Spring Colour 2 Forecast - Coral

The blushes in this collection were unique.  They had a gradient of colors creating that ombre hue.  Each of the four color group had this type of blush, but I picked up only two.

I'm always a sucker for purple eyeshadows.  When I saw this in the collection.  I knew I had to have it.  There was also a lipstick in this color group I wanted to get, but the MUA forgot to add this in my bag.  I guess I have to go back and pick it up!

Hey, there's only three so far, where's the fourth?  Well, the last one was Spring Colour 4 Forecast - Amber.  There were lots of gold and bronzy colors.  I would have picked up another lipglass and the blush from this group, but I stopped myself.  Instead, I picked up more eyeshadows.  =)

For one day only, every two MAC eyeshadows purchased, you get to select one free eyeshadow! What a deal and a steal!  I couldn't pass up this offer so I picked up just a few...

What's for Dinner?

Mondays are generally hard, especially when it is the first day back to work and you're getting back into the work week mode.  Luckily, we went grocery shopping and picked up our dinner plans for Monday and Tuesday.  We paid a visit to our local Fresh and Easy Neighborhood store.  If you're lucky and you're there at the right time and place , you can find some really great bargains at their 'Today's Special' marked down items.

For Monday's dinner plans, we picked up fresh asparagus spears to pair with the chicken, bacon and cheese melt.   We added a little cream of mushroom to keep the chicken moist.

The total cost for this meal was less than $5.  Can't beat that for 'dinner for two' and it wasn't take out!

Great Finds!

It's been raining all week so we decided to venture out and do a little shopping at Nordstrom Rack.  I always seem to find something at this store and they have cute stuff at really reasonable prices.  I wasn't looking at anything particular, but wanted to check out if they had any new shipment.  It is sometimes a hit or miss.  This day, it was definitely a hit!  So what did I get?
